The whole bonus thing is really annoying to me...not just with Cytori...but many companies...that management expects a bonus for just doing the job that they should for their position. Bonuses should be reserved for extraordinary performance.
Dean is on the record even before CYTX with generous pay packages.
With new option pricing likely within two weeks CC has to be loving the poor PPS action.
The big question Hedge is, What could the ordinary investor do to reverse this long standing trend? I often wonder how long Chris could manage to opperate a business say........... the size of mine ie: 1 million gross a year if he only had ONE investor "Himself" Can anyone say bankruptcy?
I dont see any recourse for the average investor. In its beginning it was a tool to link compensation to performace ...or so it was sold but it evolved to just additional compensation regardless of performance.
As for CC and your company...it would eventually lay in ruins.
CC will keep promising their cars would be fixed by a certain time and as the deadline failures mount, customers will just move on...LOL
As the talk of being Calhouned spread among the cheeseheads, even new customers would be impossible to find !!!!!!!!

I would also add, I know my business and hire my employees accordingly. Meaning QUALITY Hires mean PROFITS. You have a good employee? Ya better take care of him. You have a not so good one? Don't piddel around, Fire them Quick!
